This is some of my own work, recipes, mainly eggless desserts, and some travel I’ve shot for my blog and for Instagram. Being an extremely visual person, Pinterest used to be my perch for years, then came Instagram. The basis of everything, my blog, Passionate About Baking!

The day I was gifted a digital camera was the day my obsession with taking pictures went overboard. How simple was it that you could click an image and see the results almost immediately , that you could play with simple edits, that you could shoot and reshoot all day long. No longer did I need to wait for the 400 ISO Kodak or Fujifilm roll to get over, no dropping it off at the studio for the film to be developed, no wishing I had a second chance because I could have got better light, better angles etc.

While the charm of a film rolls in a camera is unrivalled as a form of art which teaches you to be frugal and patient, digital cameras made life seem so much simpler. Exploring photography as a hobby was so economical now! The ease of taking unlimited images unknowingly led me to look for a ‘natural’ pop of colour in my recipes, the garnish and ingredients now becoming the ‘cherry on the cake’. I began enjoying making desserts more and more, the eagerness to take a styled image and ‘feed the blog’ or Instagram added motivation.

From being passionate about baking, I now became passionate about styling & photography too, that joy of instant gratification extremely rewarding! I’m self taught with everything - baking, styling, shooting, I edit minimally and I absolutely love the process. Over time, I’ve developed my signature style, moody with a burst of colour, edible flowers from my garden, maybe a votive, a prop or too, everything shot in natural light.
